Rangers v Union Saint-Gilloise

Scorers: Tavernier (PEN) 45+1′, Colak 58′, Tillman 79′

It was another remarkable European night at Ibrox as Rangers overturned a first leg defeat to beat Union SG 3-0 and progress to the Champions League play-offs.

The Scottish side were 2-0 down from the first leg in Belgium and needed something special to make it to the final qualifying round.

Antonio Colak was looking dangerous early on for the home side and had an effort saved well inside the opening 10 minutes.

It was all Rangers in the first half but a goal was seemingly hard to come by with missed chances aplenty.

That was though, until a familiar figure came to their rescue with James Tavernier smashing home a penalty in added time.

Into the second half and it wasn’t long before the Glasgow side got their second of the evening with Colak finishing cooly inside the area.

And a remarkable turnaround was complete with 10 minutes to go as on loan youngster Malik Tillman scored the crucial goal.
