Ok the majority will probably be laughing at or mocking the headline, and even we will admit Erling Haaland is comfortably the world’s best striker, and probably the best of all time, even at his young age.

But Antonio Colak’s return for Rangers, while clearly not at the level of the PL, Bundesliga or so far the Champions League group stage, has been staggering, and Rangers fans are allowed to make fun comparison with the Norwegian genius who is doing exactly in England what Ibrox Noise told you he would.

Yes, Man City, for about 50 million quid, may have signed the greatest bargain in the history of football in the former Salzburg hitman, with records tumbling and his having the greatest gift of making impossible goals look easy.

But Colak is doing not half bad himself in the Light Blue shirt either – a staggering return of 11 in 14 is absolutely obliterating everyone else in Scotland, and he can be as proud of himself as fans are of him, and glad that he’s ours.

It’s very intriguing that both Scotland and England have brand new strikers who are destroying their leagues, making them look easy, and rewriting the rule book on what a striker is.

There were even more detractors over Haaland’s potential in England than there were over Colak’s potential impact in Scotland – both strikers are making a lot of arrogant types look very silly, types who will now 100% have pretended they were convinced these two would thrive here.

But while Colak will probably never be quite as good as Haaland, he’s doing more than well enough.
