Scotland international John Souttar has penned a pre-contract with Rangers and will join from Hearts in the summer.
The 25-year-old was out of contract in Edinburgh at the end of the season and opted against signing an extension with the Jam Tarts.
As a result, Rangers have announced he will move to Ibrox and is set to arrive in the summer, although no details have been disclosed on the length of deal or if he could join in January.
However, in a statement released by Hearts, they claimed that Souttar will not be allowed to leave this month unless a viable offer is received.
Souttar made a memorable return for Scotland in November for their final World Cup qualifier against Denmark, scoring the opening in a 2-0 win after years of injury torment.
