Randal Kolo Muani: “There may be another season.”

It has been quite the breakout year for Eintracht Frankfurt’s star man Randal Kolo Muani. After joining Die Adler as a free transfer last summer, the French international has managed to conjure up 23 goals and 14 assists from just 45 appearances this season.

This has, therefore, meant that many of European football’s elite clubs have been tracking the progress of the 24-year-old forward. Rumours have been circulating about a possible exit from Frankfurt just one year into his stay, however, he is not demanding a move away from the Deutsche Bank Park.

“There may be another season. I have a long contract here. Accordingly, there is of course the option that I can still be the top scorer in the Eintracht Frankfurt shirt,” said Kolo Mauni about his future. The forward only missed out on finishing as the Bundesliga top scorer by one goal as Niclas Füllkrug and Christopher Nkunku finished with 16 goals each.

Nevertheless, if an offer came in that was too lucrative for Eintracht to turn down then the option to leave would still be a possibility. But, he would add that with the DFB-Pokal final coming up, now is not the time to talk: “Of course, the millions can be a pressure. But there will be another time to talk about detachment. Now is not the right time.”

Kolo Muani would then be asked about his thoughts as PSG star and fellow French international Kylian Mbappé praised his current form: “It’s always nice to get compliments. Especially from a player like that. I really enjoyed that.”

Kolo Muani would then end with a message ahead of the cup final: “You don’t play a final, you win it! It would be a great finish for the coach. And for us as a group, it would be extraordinary if we win this trophy.”

Eintracht Frankfurt and Kolo Muani will face RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal final on Saturday, as Die Adler look to claim their second piece of silverware in two years after lifting the Europa League twelve months ago. A victory would see Frankfurt venture into that very same competition once again after missing out on European football with a seventh-place finish in the league.
