Speaking in a press conference, French forward Randal Kolo Muani (24) committed his future to Eintracht Frankfurt, amidst strong rumours of a summer departure.

Kolo Muani joined the Bundesliga club from FC Nantes on a free transfer last summer and has since excelled, scoring 23 goals in 45 matches. However, there are rumours that the France international’s stay at Frankfurt may be a short one. Kolo Muani has been linked with clubs across Europe, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Bayern Munich. Should he leave, Frankfurt would make a handsome profit, with the German club unwilling to part for their asset for less than €60m.

However, amidst rumours of a departure, Kolo Muani has committed his future to the club, pointing out the length of his contract. The former Nantes forward was asked whether he was frustrated to miss out on the Golden Boot, having finished just one goal behind Christopher Nkunku and Niclas Füllkrug, Kolo Muani replied, “It’s true that I was just one goal off being top-scorer. I could have done it, but that’s how it is, that’s football. There are other seasons, I am here for a while longer, and I have a five-year contract. So it will be possible to be the top-scorer next season,” he said in a conference, transcribed by L’Équipe.
