The agent of Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah will be on Merseyside this week for new contract talks.

The Mirror says Salah's agent Ramy Abbas Issa flew into England on Saturday – fuelling speculation of further talks over a new £500,000-a-week deal for the Egyptian king.

Dubai-based Abbas watched Liverpool 's 5-0 hammering of Watford as Salah conjured another brilliant individual strike to go level with former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba as the highest-scoring African player in Premier League history with 104 goals.

The 29-year-old Salah is one of the best players in the world right now – and both Abbas and the Kop striker believe that Liverpool should respond with a new contract which recognises the fact.

That means coming up with a new deal in the region of £500,000 a week, making him the best paid player at Anfield.

But so far the two parties are well apart after initial talks, despite Salah's current deal having around just 20 months to run.
