Ramadani meeting Barcelona today to close deal for Chelsea fullback Alonso

Barcelona aim to reach a deal for Chelsea fullback Marcos Alonso today.

Sport says Alonso's agent, Fali Ramadani, is expected in Barcelona over the day to finalise the transfer of the Spaniard.

The operation could close for a fee of €8m rising to €10m in bonuses.

Alonso had asked manager Thomas Tuchel not to field him for victory at Everton on Saturday.

The 31 year-old is expected to join Barca on a two-year contract with the option of a third.
