Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick has given Jesse Lingard his blessing to leave the club on loan.
The Athletic report that the interim boss has spoken with Lingard at the club’s training ground this morning and given the green light for the England international to leave on a short term basis.
Lingard spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham and impressed as the Hammers qualified for a Europa League place.
After returning to Old Trafford this summer, Lingard has failed to force his way back into the first team and is now looking for first team opportunities elsewhere.
The ultimate decision is now in the hands of the United hierarchy with Newcastle leading the chase and West Ham interested once again.
