In spite of his fiery interview a few weeks back and not having started this year, manager Ralf Rangnick confirmed that centre-back Harry Maguire will continue to captain the Manchester United side.
When asked if Cristiano Ronaldo could take over the armband, Rangnick explained that he doesnât feel he needs to make any changes on that front.
âRight now, I donât see a reason to do that because Harry has been the captain so far and as long as Harry is playing he will be the captain,â said Rangnick.
âAnd if heâs not playing then someone else will have to be the captain. This can change from game-to-game just depending on who is playing.
ââŠHarry will play from the beginning tomorrow and be the captain of the team.
âIn the back four, it is not only the individual performance, it is also how they co-operate and work together.â
The ÂŁ80m defender has only featured 19 minutes thus far in 2022 as he has been battling a chest injury that has caused him to have breathing difficulties.
