According to Foot Mercato, a Ligue 2 team, whose name hasn’t been revealed, is amongst the clubs in the race to sign Raja Casablanca’s left-back Mohamed Souboul (22).
Other clubs reportedly interested in signing the player include Empoli, who need a replacement at that position as their current left-back Giuseppe Pezzella (26) broke his ankle towards the end of September. Swiss club FC Zürich have also positioned themselves, as the side will be aiming to capitalize on their great start to the season by reinforcing their squad this winter.
The defender was on loan at Moroccan club Ittihad Tanger last season, where he played 21 games and was a regular starter for the squad in the Botola Pro Inwi. This season he has made only four appearances with Raja, never starting a game.
Souboul’s contract at his current club will be coming to an end this summer, which could explain his lack of playing time this season, potentially encouraging interested clubs to wait until then to approach the player.
