Today marks the 10th anniversary of Raheem Sterling joining Manchester City.

The winger enjoyed a hugely successful seven seasons at the Etihad Stadium, having played a key role in what has proved to be a golden period in our history.

The England international lifted every available domestic honour during his seven years at the Etihad, which includes four Premier League titles, five League Cups, one FA Cup and one Community Shield.

That’s 11 trophies in total and he made a telling contribution to our success.

Sterling scored 23 and 25 goals in our respective 2017/18 and 2018/19 league triumphs, whilst he also converted the winning penalty in our shootout victory over Chelsea in the 2019 Carabao Cup final.

The number of honours Sterling received from Her Majesty the Queen.

He was recognised with an MBE for his services to Racial Equality in Sport in the Queen’s 2021 Birthday Honours list.

Sterling was a pivotal figure under Pep Guardiola and his impact on the team’s achievements saw him receive several individual honours.

2018/19 proved to be a particularly successful season for the forward, who was directly involved in 46 goals in club competitions – more than any other player in the Premier League.

He was recognised with PFA Young Player of the Year, inclusion in PFA Team of the Year and the Football Writers’ Association’s Footballer of the Year.

In the same campaign he was selected in the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season for the second consecutive year to complete his total of five individual prizes whilst at City.

Sterling hit double figures in every campaign at the Etihad, exceeding 20 goals in three consecutive seasons between 2017 and 2020.

His total tally of 131 left him 10th on City’s all-time top scorer’s list, just one behind Billy Gillespie and Fred Tilson.

The forward entered the top 10 with his 127th strike in February 2022 when he netted a superb curling effort against Sporting.

His best goalscoring season came in 2019/20 when he was on target 31 times in all competitions.

Sterling scored hat-tricks on six occasions for City.

His first treble came against Bournemouth in October 2015 in only his 11th game for the Club and he went on to repeat the trick in memorable showings against Watford, West Ham, Atalanta, Brighton and Norwich.
