England have confirmed that Raheem Sterling will return to Qatar and rejoin the squad on Friday.
Sterling was forced to urgently fly home prior to the round of 16 clash with Senegal after his Surrey home was burgled.
It was not known whether the Chelsea winger would return to the World Cup, but England confirmed on Thursday that he has is expected back at the team camp on Friday.
That means he is in contention to feature in Saturday’s quarter-final clash with France.
Sterling — who turned 28 on Thursday — has so far scored 20 goals in 81 senior appearances for England.
