Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling has reportedly agreed personal terms with Chelsea ahead of a potential sensational move.
That is according to The Athletic, who have stated that the Blues are now hopeful of agreeing a deal with the Premier League champions over the next 24 hours.
Chelsea fly to the US this weekend for a pre-season tour and are confident of having the 27-year-old wrapped up in time to make the flight.
The England international has taken the decision to leave the Etihad this summer with reports believing the winger wants to become ‘the focal point for a team challenging for trophies.’
Sterling made 47 appearances in all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side in 2021/22, making 33 starts.
He has scored 131 goals and provided 94 assists for the club since moving for £50m from Liverpool in 2015.
