Rafael Benítez provides injury update on Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Everton manager Rafael Benítez has confirmed that striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss the next few weeks of action through injury.

The 24-year-old is missing from the starting line-up for the Monday night clash with Burnley and the Spaniard has revealed that the forward has been struggling with a multiple of issues.

Speaking before the match, Benítez said: “He has broken his toe.

“He was training with problems and playing with pain.

“He had an injury the other day to his quadriceps and we have to wait two-to-three weeks, maybe more.”

Calvert-Lewin has scored three goals in his three league fixtures fo far this season.
