Rafa Benítez sends heartfelt message to Newcastle fans

Rafa Benítez has sent a heartfelt message to Newcastle fans after officially leaving the club on Monday.

Benítez was expected to continue at St James’ Park, but it was later announced that his contract would not be renewed after three successful seasons.

This stirred considerable frustration among the Newcastle faithful who again, have suffered due to owner Mike Ashley.

The 59-year-old expressed his regret at the situation via social media:
