Accrington headed into the game at Edgeley Park off the back of defeats against Doncaster Rovers and Mansfield respectively.

They would have undoubtedly been hoping to put their misery behind them and get back to winning ways but it wasn’t to be as Stockport handed them a 4-2 beating.

A brace from Kyle Wootton and goals from Connor Lemonheigh-Evans and Antoni Sarcevic were enough to ensure strikes from Accrington duo Shuan Whalley and Jack Nolan didn’t count for too much at the end of proceedings.

Between the sticks, Vitek faced a total of 17 shots, with seven of these requiring him to swing into action and intervene. Stockport also had the lion’s share of possession – 62%.

Vitek’s game vs. Stockport was his 17th start for Accrington in as many games since he joined the club from United on loan.

The Czech Republic international made three saves – all from inside his own box – that prevented Stockport from clinching even more goals and completely blowing Accrington away.

The shot-stopper also registered one crucial punch during the time he was on the pitch.

He had 37 total touches of the ball to his name.

Vitek tried to deliver 24 passes to his teammates. He successfully delivered 16 of these, managing a pass completion rate of 67%.

The 20-year-old went long 10 times. He found his intended target just twice. Vitek also made one clearance.

He delved into one aerial duel. In this single aerial contest, Vitek came out on top and outdid his opponent.
