On this occasion, Cancun hosted the Liga MX Draft with very few fireworks to speak of.
There were few signings, no huge surprises, and not even official sales figures since the incorporation period for players without a valid contract was extended until July 6.
Apart from regular operations between clubs, Marcelo Bielsa offered a conference on new technology and tactical decisions.
Chivas was the team that had generated the highest expectations, however, their fans had to settle for less-than-stellar transfers in José Van Rankin (Pumas) and Ángel Sepúlveda (Monarcas). In addition, the transfer of Rodolfo Pizarro to Monterrey was confirmed.
Cruz Azul brought in several reinforcements, officially announcing Martín Zúñiga, Misael Domínguez, and Antonio Sánchez.
Pumas brought in Juan Manuel Iturbe, Carlos González, Víctor Malcora and Martín Rodríguez while sending Erick Torres and Luis Fuentes to Xolos.
Carlos ‘Gullit’ Peña to Necaxa, Julián Velázquez to Xolos, Omar González to Atlas, Daniel Villalva to Querétaro, William Da Silva to Toluca and Carlos Fierro to Monarcas were the other striking transactions.
