Quartet confirm promotion to Regional League Premier Divisions | OneFootball

Newhaven, Nottingham Trent University, Sport London E Benfica and Wythenshawe all secured promotion to Regional League Premier Divisions.

EASTERN – Royston host leaders in midweek

Premier –  Luton Town were 5-1 winners over Needham Market, Wroxham saw off Stevenage 2-1 with a Lara Densley double. Wednesday 24 April sees AFC Dunstable tackle Luton at Creasey Park and Royston Town take on leaders Real Bedford at Garden Walk, both are 7,45pm kick-offs.

1 North – Harpenden Town’s Sophia Amanor hit a hat-trick in a 5-1 win at Fakenham Town but they remain goal-difference behind leaders Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers who won 4-0 at Stevenage Development and have a game in hand. Mulbarton Wanderers were 1-0 winners at Thetford Town in midweek, backed up by a 2-0 result over Biggleswade United on Sunday.

1 South – Billericay Town Development drew 1-1 at runners-up Southend United to go fourth, Wormley Rovers’ 6-3 score against Wodson Park featured a Chelise Fleming treble.

EAST MIDLANDS – Nottingham Trent University promoted

Premier – Midweek results brought a 3-1 victory for Chesterfield Ladies at Basford United and a 1-0 win for Anstey Nomads at Dunton & Broughton United. Champions Lincoln United won 7-1 at Dunton on Sunday, Mansfield Town went third with a 3-0 defeat of Grimsby Town, Chesterfield Ladies’ Imogen Fowler bagged a brace in their 3-0 success at Rotherham United. Midweek fixtures are; Weds 24 April – Anstey v Dunton, Lincoln Utd v Grimsby Town. Thurs 25 Apr – Mansfield v Long Eaton at the One Call Stadium.

1 Central – Beaumont Park edged Notts County Devs 4-3 on Wednesday. Tahli Spence at the double and Freya Gardener with their crucial fourth goal. Three more points followed with a 3-1 defeat of Asfordby Amateurs, while Nottingham Trent University’s 5-0 win at Sandiacre Town secured them the top spot. West Bridgford welcome Beaumont Park to the Regatta Way Sports Ground for a 7,45pm kick off on Tuesday.

1 North – SJR Worksop went top on goal-difference with a 5-0 result against Grimsby Borough, Dronfield Town kept up their own title hopes in an 8-4 goalfest win over Retford in which there were three goals each for their Suzie Gelson and Kristine Humble. Oughtibridge WM are also involved in the promotion scrap and won 2-0 at Sleaford Town.

1 South – Stamford won 3-0 at Cardea in midweek and 4-0 away to Northampton Town Devs on Sunday to move second, Kettering Town lead by a point after a 2-0 victory over Leicester City LFC. Stamford will go top if they avoid defeat against Northampton Town Devs at Borderville Sports Centre on Wednesday (7.45 ko).

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Newhaven and Sport London E Benfica Premier bound

Premier – There were eight different scorers as Dartford defeated Ebbsfleet United 5-3 in midweek. Fulham’s Sophie Manzi hit a hat-trick in a 7-0 win at Enfield Town on Sunday, Sutton United edged Crawley AFC 1-0 with a Jasmine Backhurst effort. Millwall Lionesses meet Enfield at St Pauls Sports Ground on Tuesday at 7.30pm, Sutton entertain Dorking Wanderers at Gander Green Lane on Thursday (7.45pm).

1 North – Brentford beat Richmond Park 2-0 on Wednesday watched by 325 and they had 351 in for the goalless draw with Sport London E Benfica, whom they can now no longer catch. Dulwich Hamlet Reserves subs Polly Lear Abigail Woollvin were both on target in a 3-1 result at Camden & Islington United, Hackney overcame Clapton CFC 4-2 led by Natalie White’s hat-trick

1 South – Bromley ran out 5-0 winners at Welling United on Thursday, Newhaven matched that score line at Bexhill United on Sunday as they finally became champions with 20 of 21 matches won. Substitute Hannah Baker levelled as Welling drew 2-2 with Steyning Town, Bognor Regis Town got the only goal at Eastbourne United, while Bromley host Dartford Reserves at Hayes Lane on Wednesday (7.45pm).

League Cup Final – Dartford lifted the cup following a 5-1 win over Saltdean United at Maidstone United FC. Saltdean go for silverware again on Wednesday, against Newhaven in the Sussex Cup Final at Lancing FC, 7.30pm.

NORTH EAST – Title-chasing South Shields beat leaders

Premier – Redcar Town beat Hartlepool United 3-0 with all three goals by Tiana Hill, also in midweek there was a hat-trick for Wallsend BC’s Erin Donachie but in a 4-3 defeat at Alnwick Town, who then had a walkover against Wakefield AFC on Sunday. Title-hopefuls Wallsend BC crashed to a 3-0 loss at Hull United, whose first-half sub Jamie-Leigh Neale-Wright scored twice. South Shields beat leaders Spennymoor Town 3-1 – helped by Sophie Curle’s double – to boost their own chances, Barnsley FC went level on points with the leaders with a 2-0 victory at Sunderland West End, Redcar are four points from safety after a 2-0 home defeat to Harrogate Town who are just above the dotted line.

1 North – Sunderland U-23s’ 4-0 defeat of second-placed Ponteland United was their fifteenth straight win, Thornaby edged Bishop Auckland 3-2 as Lucy Watson got a couple, Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves won 2-0 at Washington and Bishop Auckland beat Hartlepool Pools Youth 2-0 in midweek. This Wednesday, Washington welcome Wallsend BC Reserves, then on Thursday it’s Thornaby v Norton Reserves.

1 South – Ossett United’s 6-1 win at Sheffield United Foundation put them in pole position, with Millmoor losing 4-2 at home to Lower Hopton and York Railway Institute going down 2-0 to visitors Altofts, who had also won 3-0 at Lower Hopton in midweek. Tuesday sees Sheffield United Foundation face Handsworth, Wednesday brings Farsley Celtic JFC Ladies versus Altofts.

League Cup Semi-Final – Barnsley FC take on Ossett on Wednesday for a place in the final.

NORTH WEST – Wythenshawe top table

Premier – Over 150 saw West Didsbury & Chorlton beaten 1-0 at home by champions Cheadle Town Stingers for whom Jodie Hancock scored. Bury’s Emma Mackie was dismissed after 75 minutes in a 4-1 defeat to visiting Darwen, who also won 3-1 at Fleetwood on Thursday.

1 North – There were 5-0 Wednesday evening wins for Accrington Stanley at Penwortham Town and Workington 5-0 away to Carlisle United, while Bolton Wanderers came from behind to beat hosts Radcliffe 4-1. It’s 20 wins from 20 after Mancunian Unity put 11 past Penwortham, Preston North End pipped Haslingden 4-3 as Alicia Scott netted twice and Katie Woodhead got the winner, Workington Reds won 2-0 at Fleetwood Town Wrens and Accrington’s  double-header was abandoned after a serious injury was sustained by a Morecambe player.

1 South – Chester won by the odd goal in seven at Ellesmere Port Town in midweek, FC St Helens beat Runcorn Linnets 3-2 led with a brace by Ashley Beard, while Poulton Vics overcame Mossley Hill 5-2. Wythenshawe are champions after sinking Litherland REMYCA 15-0 on Sunday, St. Helens overcame Northwich Vixens 10-1 and Hindley ran out 9-2 winners over Altrincham.

SOUTHERN – Fleet end long wait

Premier – Wycombe Wanderers returned from Badshot Lea with three points and seven goals.

1 North –  Penn & Tylers Green went fourth and within two points of Milton United, whom they beat 3-1 aided by Rebecca Stopforth’s brace.

1 South –  Fleet Town’s first win of the league season came at the 14th attempt, 3-2 over next-to-bottom Rushmoor.

SOUTH WEST – Ilminster and Poole progress to final

Premier – Bristol Rovers finished a title-winning campaign with a 4-2 success at AFC St Austell, where Poppy Wannell got two goals for the Gas Girls.

1 East – Purton won 2-0 at Bath City in midweek to leapfrog them into third place, before defeating Shaftesbury 4-2 on Sunday set up by Amelia Fowles’ early double.

1 North – Weston super Mare went top with a 3-2 win at Downend Flyers, Bitton beat Gloucester City 2-0.

1 West – Feniton stayed above Sticker with whom they drew 1-1, they next visit Ilminster Town on Thursday, 6.45pm at the Archie Gooch Pavilion.

Divisional Cup Semi-Finals – Ilminster Town went through 1-0 at AEK Boco, substitute Maisie Riley scored as Poole Town eliminated Saltash United 2-1.

WEST MIDLANDS – Coventry Sphinx to face Lye Town for Premier Cup

Premier – Kidderminster Harriers beat Shifnal Town 3-1 at Aggborough Stadium on Tuesday. Crusaders Ellis Read came off the bench to score as basement side Crusaders came away from Coundon Court 2-1 winners. Shrewsbury Town won 4-1 at Solihull Sporting and it ended 1-1 between Shifnal and Burton Albion.

1 North – Port Vale’s 6-0 win at Darlaston Town put them just a point behind leaders AFC Telford United, over whom they have two games in hand. Coventry City climbed three places to fourth after sending Lichfield City Reserves to a 7-3 defeat.

1 South – Redditch Borough beat third-placed Hereford Pegasus 5-0 away to cut the gap on leaders Alvechurch to five points with one game in hand. Leamington Lions’ Megan Lugg got the only goal at Rugby Town.

Premier Cup Semi-Final – Coventry Sphinx were 3-1 winners over Worcester City to set up a final clash with Lye Town.

Division 1 Cup – Leek Town Reserves’ sub Rhiannon Kenny scored the sole goal in the 2nd Round tie at Newcastle Town, quarter-final games saw Alvechurch go through 6-2 at AFC Telford United and Walsall Wood pip Worcester City Development 4-2 on penalties following a 2-2 deadlock.
