Liverpool will lock horns with Burnley at Turf Moor this Tuesday evening as they try to return to winning ways in the Premier League. The Reds were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Arsenal recently, so they would be eager to collect all three points versus the Clarets in midweek.
Jurgen Klopp will set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first XI for this game. Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliott and Joe Gomez will get a chance to play from the start of this contest.
Defence
Alisson Becker will function in between the sticks for the Reds after shipping in one goal in his last league outing. Virgil Van Dijk will play alongside Jarell Quansah at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will continue to operate as the right-back while Joe Gomez hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Klopp will ask both of them to join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Ibrahima Konate will be rested on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield
Curtis Jones, Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai will once again make up Klopp’s midfield. Their main focus would be to dominate the game at the centre of the park and engineer enough clear-cut chances for Liverpool to win this match.
Ryan Gravenberch will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Darwin Nunez will get a chance to impress as the left-winger while Harvey Elliott hopes to make a difference from the right flank. Mohamed Salah will lead the charge for the Merseyside club in the final third. He will once again carry most of Liverpool’s goal-scoring workload on his own up top.
Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are unlikely to recover in time for this game. However, Cody Gakpo will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the latter stages of the game if the Reds are in need of a goal by then.
