Zlatan Ibrahimovic is an admirer of former Manchester United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat and the Moroccan has emerged as a target once again for AC Milan.

As reported by Quotidiano Sportivo (via Calciomercato.com), Amrabat’s name is back in fashion now that he has returned to Fiorentina. He spent last season on loan at Man Utd but they decided not to exercise the €20m option to buy him outright.

He is linked with a number of teams given Fiorentina are thought to want to cash in on him this summer. His profile certainly matches what Milan are looking for and he would arrive alongside Youssouf Fofana.

He only has one year left on his Fiorentina contract which means he would be a more affordable option than some others, and various Spanish and Serie A clubs have been gathering information on what it would take to sign him.

He is a player that Ibrahimovic appreciates, but the club has not made any concrete steps towards trying to sign him this summer yet.

There are other names in the frame to sign for Milan’s midfield, such as Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic and Real Betis’ Johnny Cordoba who could potentially become the third American player in this Milan team.
