Watford are considering QPR coach John Eustace for the manager's job.
The London Evening Standard says Eustace is a contender for the Watford job, with the club looking to appoint a young, homegrown manager.
Watford have begun searching for a new boss after current manager Roy Hodgson confirmed he will be leaving at the end of the season.
Hodgson was appointed in January, becoming the Hornets' third head coach of the season, but he has been unable to steer them clear of relegation and will leave when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
Watford have started looking at replacements and there is a desire to appoint a young, homegrown coach.
Former Hornets midfielder Eustace, who is part of Mark Warburton's backroom staff at QPR, is admired by the Watford hierarchy and a contender for the job.
