Championship trio QPR, Blackburn Rovers and Oxford United are all keeping tabs on RKC Waalwijk’s star man Oskar Zawada. The Polish striker has impressed this season netting 11 goals in 27 appearances for the Eredivisie strugglers this season, and despite their impending drop to the second-tier, he’s shown he can be a handful against some top sides.
SoccerNews.NL reports that the three Championship clubs have expressed an ‘emphatic’ interest to the striker’s representatives. German clubs 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Hannover 96 also have the 29-year-old on their shortlist’s for the summer.
Oskar Zawada made the move to the Eredivisie just last summer, having left Australian A-League outfit Wellington Phoenix. In Australia’s top flight the 6ft 3in tall target man bagged 21 in 37 appearances, finishing the 2022/23 campaign as one of the league’s top scorers.
A move to the Championship could be on the cards for Oskar Zawada this summer. A departure from RKC Waalwijk seems increasingly likely, and he could potentially be available on a cut-price deal if the club are relegated from the Eredivisie. Zawada himself is keen on a step up this summer.
