Having both missed yesterday’s training session, France’s Adrien Rabiot and Dayot Upamecano are doubts for France’s World Cup semi-final against Morocco tonight.
The two, who would have been expected to start, have caught colds, which according to L’Équipe is down to the air conditioning at the team’s base in Qatar and all around the Gulf state during the tournament. A decision is set to be made this morning with regard to their fitness.
Players are not required to take Covid-19 tests should they show any symptoms in Qatar, which means there is no further information with regard to their illness. Should their absences be confirmed, Ibrahima Konaté and Youssouf Fofana will take their spots in the starting eleven against the Atlas Lions.
Aurélien Tchouaméni, meanwhile, has recovered from the calf knock that kept him out of training on Monday, and is expected to start, having taken part in the tactical session yesterday.
