It’s so refreshing being able to write about a great Chelsea performance and result for once this season!

It’s been very gloomy lately and Chelsea fans have had very little to be happy or excited about, but for today at least, we can all be happy and take in a very impressive 3-1 away win at Aston Villa.

Villa were very poor on the night, but Chelsea were absolutely superb and fully deserved to win the game. It could have even been more goals than 3 for Chelsea, and Villa barely even threatened until very late on.

The Chelsea players came out like a bunch of animals who had a point to prove, and they truly did have that.

Enzo Fernandez was like a different beast and he put in a captains performance in all honesty, talking and motivating his team mates all game and offering instructions.

It was him and his midfield partner Moises Caicedo who has received ultimate praise from pundit Roy Keane.

Keane was on pundit duty for ITV and as cited by The Chelsea Chronicle, he said:

“Absolutely outstanding. The two [Enzo and Caicedo] of them dominated that midfield. Villa were very poor but they looked strong, they looked aggressive. Their passing was short, decision making was excellent. They looked strong, physical. Two midfielders for Chelsea – outstanding.”
