Harry Kane will be “furious” with Daniel Levy after his latest remarks regarding the ongoing transfer saga surrounding the Tottenham striker.
That is according to ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the Spurs chairman appeared to suggest Kane will not have the final say over his future at the club.
He told Tottenham TV on 13th June that “what we want and what other clubs want is not always possible to achieve” and that he would “do whatever is right for the club.”
As revealed by Football Insider in April, Kane has told friends he wants to leave the club this summer.
Kane signed a six-year contract in 2018 committing him to the club until 2024.
Levy’s attitude towards Kane is unfair and the 28-year-old has every right to feel aggrieved, according to Kenny.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “He’s not a trouble-causer. If he wants to leave, he wants to leave.
“Every season that goes by his value is gonna go down because it’s another year down on his contract.
“You’d be furious, 100 per cent. I know he’s under contract but what he’s done for Tottenham has been remarkable. You can’t fault him.
“Some players are all about money but he’s all about wanting to leave to win trophies. You can’t fault someone for wanting to do that.”
Kane is currently on international duty with England at the European Championship.
He was the Premier League’s top goalscorer and creator last season after netting 23 goals and laying on 14 assists.
