Christian Pulisic spoke to the media ahead of AC Milan’s first Coppa Italia semi-final leg against Inter, making it clear that he has no problems with starting in the No.10 role.

As mentioned, tonight’s clash is the first of two and Milan thus need to come away with a good result. The second leg is scheduled for April 23rd, i.e. three weeks from now, and the Rossoneri are the designated home side this time out.

Pulisic, who has done well against the Nerazzurri this season, spoke to Mediaset just a few minutes ago (via MilanNews). In addition to the position, starting in the No.10 role tonight, he shared his thoughts on the importance of the game.

A very important night, how much do you believe in the Coppa Italia?

“We believe in it a lot. There are two games against Inter to get to the final and win another title.”

Today, you’re starting in a somewhat unusual position…

“I’ve played in this position many times, I’m ready. I always want to score goals and provide assists, this is the target.”

You’ve already scored against Inter, both in the league and in the Supercoppa. Will there be a goal today too?

“Yes, that’s the idea. I always want to score goals, it’s a great match. I want to score and win.”

How important is it to start strong?

“It’s very important. Today, we want to start strong. We played very, very well in the second half against Napoli and today we want to continue like this.”

This will be the fourth encounter between Milan and Inter this season, having faced each other twice in the league and once in the Supercoppa Italiana final. The Rossoneri remain unbeaten against their city rivals, with two wins and one draw.
