After enduring first-half hell under Santiago Solari, América have went on an incredible run and are now just four games away from winning the Liga MX title.
Now, they must overcome a tough semi-final against Pachuca, who finished atop the Liga MX table and have incredible Liguilla success against the Eagles.
Though they are focused on the task at hand, the América board are already preparing for next season.
According to MedioTiempo, young Puebla defender Israel Reyes is close to joining the azulcremas.
The 21-year-old only arrived from Atlas last summer and has impressed to the point where he’s surely on Tata Martino’s radar for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
Though Reyes did not participate in any of the World Cup qualifiers, the two-time Mexico international was called up to the friendly against Guatemala at the end of April, where he featured in the starting XI.
