PSG’s Presnel Kimpembe could make Qatar switch

Presnel Kimpembe’s (29) time at formative club Paris Saint-Germain could come to an end in the coming days, according to a report from Le Parisien.

As revealed by the publication earlier this month, PSG are looking to offload the centre-back. It has been two-and-a-half years since Kimpembe suffered an Achilles injury that sidelined him for almost two whole years. Since making a return to football in 2025, the Frenchman has, however, failed to regularly feature for Les Parisiens.

He played just 76 minutes of football last season across five appearances, all of which came in the second half of the campaign. However, he has failed to stay fit, finding himself sidelined by multiple niggles across the back half of last season.

Kimpembe, currently, is not at full fitness, and with the transfer window in France closing soon, PSG are looking for solutions. Le Parisien understands that a deal that would see the Frenchman leave the Parc des Princes could accelerate in the coming days.

A move to Qatar, where PSG’s owners have the network to facilitate a departure, is seen as a possibility. Their transfer window closes on 16th September, giving all parties time to arrange a deal.
