Ousmane Dembélé (27) has not trained since picking up a hamstring injury against Arsenal and he remains touch-and-go to feature in the second-leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final against the Gunners next week.
Dembélé was forced off with the injury during the first leg at the Emirates on Tuesday. Whilst there was not any significant concern regarding the injury, Luis Enrique did nonetheless admit that the France international would be a doubt to face Arsenal on Wednesday.
L’Équipe understands that Dembélé has not undergone tests on the hamstring injury and since the blow, he has been working in the gym, away from his teammates. He is not expected to participate in Friday’s training session either, ahead of Saturday’s game against RC Strasbourg Alsace.
Logically, Dembélé will not be included in the matchday squad to face Les Parisiens, although he could return to first-team training on Sunday or Monday. There is optimism that he will be fit to face Arsenal, even if he will miss this weekend’s Ligue 1 encounter.
