If Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson (30) is sold to Al-Ittihad, the Premier League champions are not considering a potential move for PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma (25) to replace the Brazilian stopper, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The former Benfica goalkeeper is currently in negotiations over a potential move to Saudi Arabia. This has caused a stir in the rumour mill over who the Premier League outfit might look to replace the 30-year-old goalkeeper with. However, at this stage, no move is advanced with talks ongoing.

Donnarumma had been linked as a potential replacement for Ederson with Sky Italy reporting the Italian stopper was a potential option for City. In contrast, Romano understands that if Ederson is to leave, they plan to replace him with Stefan Ortega who is currently the understudy to the Brazil international keeper. The Manchester club have no interest in replacing their first-choice keeper with a ‘big name’ like Donnarumma.
