Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed Women’s Coach Gérard Prêcheur has left the club by mutual consent, with personal reasons cited in an official statement.

The 63-year-old had only been with the club for one full season, having arrived in Paris last summer. In his sole campaign in charge, he guided the club to a second-placed finish in Division 1.

The move comes just three days before PSG face off with Prêcheur’s former club Lyon in their second Division 1 game of the season.

Reports from Le Parisien and RMC Sport have suggested that Prêcheur’s son and assistant, Jocelyn, will replace him in the dugout for the time being.
