Coach Mauricio Pochettino was celebrating his birthday here in south west France and would have been delighted with the way his men got out of the blocks.
Pablo Sarabia was the one who got the scoring underway for the reigning champions, finishing well from inside the area after a neat turn and finish.
It certainly wasn’t a classic with both sides having one shot on target each going into the final stages but the capital club didn’t care as they went home with all three points.
