Paris Saint-Germain are set to ditch Emirates as their shirt sponsor after the upcoming 2018/19 season.

According to L’Equipe, the French giants want the Dubai-based airline to pay a whopping €80million each year to feature on the club’s shirts while they currently only give between €25m and €30m per annum.

Emirates, the Ligue 1 champions’ sponsor since 2006, will not meet the fresh demands, it has been reported.

The French publication claim PSG have already began the hunt for a new deal, with an Asian company in insurance or electronics a possibility.

While Qatar Airways has also been mooted as a replacement for Emirates, it has been said a deal could arose suspicion with UEFA given the club’s ownership ties to the Gulf nation.
