Kylian Mbappé will reportedly join Real Madrid this summer when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June. The 25-year-old is expected to arrive as a free agent and the Frenchman’s arrival has already generated law changes in Spain.

La Liga has been without a megastar since Lionel Messi left in 2021, and the local government is attempting to ease laws that allow Real Madrid to bring superstar players without the players having any worries over taxes.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the government in Madrid will implement an “Mbappé Law,” as it will reduce certain income taxes for wealthy foreigners.

If the capital club lifts its first UEFA Champions League this season, it feels as though that’s a perfect way for Mbappé to close his chapter in his hometown.

He can begin a new adventure after winning the trophy that the Ligue 1 side have been obsessed with winning since the Qatar Sports Investment takeover. Nonetheless, this new development will be interesting to follow to see if Mbappé does change the local laws.
