Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar is reportedly desperate to return to Barcelona.

The 31-year-old initially joined the Catalans from Brazilian outfit Santos in 2013 but shocked the world when he joined PSG for €222 million four years later.

Fast forward to 2023 and he wants to leave Paris. PSG tried to find him a new team last summer but they couldn’t get any concrete offers for the Brazilian.

Neymar wasn’t keen to leave the French capital at the time, but he has had a change of heart this summer.

According to SPORT, the former Santos star is determined to return to the Blaugrana.

However, a move looks very unlikely at this stage, with the La Liga giants having no intention of bringing him back to Spain.

Manager Xavi Hernandez stated in an interview earlier this month that Neymar is not part of his plans.

The club’s financial troubles will be another huge stumbling block to a deal.

With his contract at Parc des Princes expiring in 2025, the Parisians are expected to demand a significant transfer fee for the experienced forward.

Lionel Messi was a priority signing for Barca, but they missed out on the Argentine due to their economic woes.

The World Cup winner has joined Inter Miami and is set to make his debut next month.
