TodoFichajes report that PSG are negotiating an agreement with Arsenal for the transfer of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with a fee of around €38m.

PSG know Edinson Cavani is leaving on a free transfer this summer, and there’s a good chance Mauro Icardi will follow him out. The Ligue 1 club are pushing to sign loanee Icardi permanently, but it depends on whether Inter Milan will lower their asking price.

The result of losing one or both strikers is that PSG are looking at Aubameyang. TF claim Arsenal would be willing to cash in to afford new additions this summer.

The striker reportedly has multiple offers on the table right now, and he likes the idea of playing with Neymar and Mbappe. His preference is still to play for Real Madrid, if possible.

The source isn’t a hugely reliable one, but it’s an interesting proposition to consider.

Some Arsenal fans would happily see the club take the money to sell Aubameyang abroad and reinvest in the future. It certainly beats seeing him join a Premier League club on a free. Others would rather one more season and a push for CL football.

It’s a tough decision for the club this summer. If they can somehow convince him to extend his contract first, that’s obviously preferable, whatever the eventual outcome.
