Paris Saint-Germain have sealed the signing of Manuel Ugarte after fending off interest from Chelsea to attract the combative midfielder.
The French champions have sealed a deal after agreeing to pay the €60m release clause in Ugarte’s contract at Sporting CP.

A Uruguayan international, Ugarte has won eight caps for the national team and helped Sporting win the Portuguese League Cup in 2022.
The 22-year-old has impressed through his two seasons with the Lisbon-based club and was also wanted by Chelsea before opting for a move to PSG instead.
