Paris Saint-Germain are set to rival interest from the Premier League in Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen has been in exceptional form for Napoli this season and is the leading scorer in Serie A. The Nigeria international has scored 25 goals in all competitions for Luciano Spalletti’s side, who are runaway leaders in Italy and closing in on a first league title in 33 years.

Osimhen has also scored four times in Europe as Napoli have reached the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time and his evolution into an elite forward has piqued the interest of top clubs.

Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with the 24-year-old, but footmercato are reporting that Premier League sides will face competition from PSG.

PSG have been ‘active’ in working on a deal behind the scenes and sporting director Luis Campos, who was involved in the deal that took Osimhen from Charleroi to former side Lille, will hold talks with the player’s representatives during the international break.

Osimhen’s valuation could prove prohibitive for PSG as the club look to meet Financial Fair Play regulations however, with Napoli valuing the Nigerian in the region of €150m.

Manchester United are considering meeting that figure, though the Red Devils have also placed Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani on their shortlist of potential targets.

Osimhen discussed his future last week and said he will hold talks with Napoli at the end of the season. The forward has previously revealed his ‘dream’ to play in the Premier League.
