Paris Saint-Germain want to break up their attacking trio of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi, according to RMC Sport.

The club’s sporting adviser Luis Campos wants to reshuffle the club’s attacking pack.

Mbappe will likely remain the project’s focal point, with the 24-year-old becoming a club leader and talisman.

He can create on the level of Messi and Neymar and adds an off-the-ball dynamism that the other pair do not have right now.

Messi has not accepted contract renewal offers from the club. There were rumours about a return to Barcelona this summer, but his father and agent claimed it was impossible.

There are even stronger rumours of a move to the United States. Major League Soccer club Inter Miami are reportedly waiting for the 35-year-old with open arms.

As for Neymar, his talent is obvious, but injury issues and his off-field antics are becoming too much.

Last week, the attacker caused a stir when friends took pictures of him at a McDonald’s restaurant in the early morning.

He spent the earlier part of the night at a poker tournament following the loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League the previous day.

Les Parisiens tried to sell Neymar last summer, but they couldn’t. In the next transfer window, they will likely try again.

Campos wants to break up the attacking trio and bring in some fresh faces. He is ready to let go of Messi and Neymar.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram are on PSG’s radar.

Campos is also interested in signing Kouadio Kone, Kephren Thuram and Youssouf Fofana for the team’s midfield.

He has identified several French players as targets. Under former sporting director Leonardo Araujo, PSG favoured foreign stars.

The club wants to reduce its wage bill, and shipping Neymar and Messiput will help their cause. The pair are on hefty contracts that are weighing the club down.
