Despite Kylian Mbappé leaving with an injury, PSG thumped Marseille in Le Classique to reignite their stuttering Ligue 1 campaign.
Scorers: Hakimi 8′, Kolo Muani 37′, Ramos 47′
The Parisians got off to a flying start against their bitter rivals, as Achraf Hakimi fired the hosts in front with a stunning free kick from outside the box to set the Parc des Princes alight inside 10 minutes.
Marseille struggled to string any passes together, never mind create high-quality scoring chances thanks in large part to PSG’s superb press.
While the hosts appeared to be cruising, the mood inside the ground soured at the half-hour mark when Kylian Mbappé was forced out with an apparent lower body injury.
Mbappé’s departure would not slow down his teammates however, as Randal Kolo Muani snagged his first goal in a PSG shirt in the final 10 minutes of the half to double the hosts’ lead.
The home side picked up right where they left off in the first half, pouring the pressure on OM and capitalising with a goal from Gonçalo Ramos, who replaced Mbappé, just two minutes into the half, all but killing the game.
Ramos capped off the PSG dominance with a late strike to wrap up the victory and ensure PSG secured three points that will take them back into the top-three in Ligue 1.
