As reported by Le Parisien, PSG remain interested in a move for Lyon wonderkid Rayan Cherki during this summer’s transfer window, with deals for Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani and fellow OL youngster Bradley Barcola in the balance.

French under 21 attacking midfielder Cherki, who has just turned 20 years old and is considered to be one of the most talented players ever produced by Lyon’s prolific academy, did have an agreement over personal terms with Paris in January. However, the deal fell through due to Lyon’s reluctance to sell and the player’s hesitance over the move’s suitability.

Cherki has a contract with Lyon until 2025 but remains on PSG’s radar, say the Paris paper, as the club continues to chase Barcola and Kolo Muani for a combined fee of €100m. Both players have agreed to join the French champions and basic personal terms have been sorted.

Their current employers, however, are yet to be convinced – although Frankfurt are more open to a move, with Lyon resisting for now. Financial restraints may force OL’s hand, however, with Cherki also an option for PSG at this stage.
