Paris Saint-Germain have released goalkeeper Stéphanie Labbé from her contract on Wednesday evening.
The news comes after the 35-year-old Canadian international took to social media to announce her plans to retire from football in April.
As such, “the club and Labbé have decided, by mutual agreement, to release the goalkeeper from her last months of contract.”
“Paris Saint-Germain congratulates Labbé on her career as a whole and wishes her the best of success in her professional retraining.”
Labbé joined the French club after guiding Canada to an Olympic gold medal at Tokyo 2020 and made three appearances.
