L’Équipe are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain have rejected Crystal Palace’s offer for Hugo Ekitiké (21). The Ligue 1 club want to sign Eintracht Frankfrut’s Randal Kolo Muani (24) before selling the former Stade de Reims forward.
PSG are attempting to use Ekitiké as a makeweight in a deal to bring Kolo Muani to the Parc des Princes. According to L’Équipe, PSG’s last offer for the former FC Nantes forward was worth €65m plus Ekitiké. However, the Bundesliga side are yet to accept this proposition. Kolo Muani is attempting to force through his move to Les Parisiens, missing training and travelling to Paris in anticipation of an agreement.
His arrival will be key to Ekitiké’s departure, be that to Frankfurt or elsewhere. Crystal Palace, as well as West Ham United, are also interested in Ekitiké. The former submitted an offer for the forward, which was a loan with an option to buy. However, PSG want a permanent sale. A loan deal will become more of a possibility should Kolo Muani arrive at PSG, a move which until now has not taken form.
