PSG are pushing to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram (25), according to a report from L’Equipe. The France international is set to be a free agent as his contract expires this June with the Rhine side.

Les Parisiens are moving fast in this summer’s transfer window. The Ligue 1 champions have already wrapped up deals to sign Sporting CP midfielder Manuel Ugarte (22) in a €60m deal and former Real Madrid man Marco Asensio (27) as a free agent. Inter centre-back Milan Skriniar (28) will also join the French capital on a free.

L’Équipe reveal this Tuesday afternoon that PSG and the eldest son of legendary defender Lilian Thuram have had positive talks. The former Guingamp striker is said to be keen on a move to the Parc des Princes and PSG frontman Kylian Mbappé (24) is reportedy trying to convince Thuram to favour the move. It was Thuram who assisted Mbappé when the latter equalised against Argentina in the World Cup final with an inspired volley.

PSG Sporting director Luís Campos allegedly sees in Thuram the ideal target man and experienced out-and-out striker that the team are lacking, with Hugo Ekitike clearly not showing his potential enough. The forward has reportedly confided to his entourage that PSG are well-placed when considering his future club. The older brother of Khéphren Thuram is eyeing a place in the France squad that will fly to Germany for the Euro 2024. To perform in a Champions League-playing team as high-profile as the Ligue 1 champions would go a long way at achieving that goal.
