Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi wouldn’t swap Thomas Tuchel for any other coach on the planet.
The Ligue 1 champions hammered Saint-Étienne 4-0 on Friday night, extending Tuchel’s 100% winning record since taking over the club to five matches.
And ahead of Tuesday’s mouth-watering Champions League clash with Liverpool, Al-Khelaïfi has revealed his delight at what he has seen from the former Borussia Dortmund boss so far.
“Paris has the players and the coach to do something there (at Anfield). The best coach in the world,” he said.
Kylian Mbappé is also optimistic about his side’s chances of coming away from Anfield with a positive result.
“This match will be more watched than the others, but you have to go with confidence,” said the striker.
“We must respect this opponent who is a great team, but I think we can do something.
Meanwhile, Reds defender Virgil van Dijk admits he’s wary of the threat posed by PSG.
“Last season was a thing of the past, we need to be ready to win and concentrate on it,” the Dutch defender told Telefoot.
“It’s going to be complicated against all these great players but I think we can defend well against PSG.”
