On Saturday, more information surfaced regarding Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Manchester City forward Julian Álvarez. While Arsenal and Chelsea are also linked to the Argentine, the Parisians are prepared to outspend all challengers for the player, including Atlético Madrid.

Álvarez might be considering a summer departure from Pep Guardiola’s team to secure a more prominent role elsewhere. During the 2023-24 season, the 24-year-old played in 54 matches for Manchester City, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists.

TyC Sports’ Germán García Grova recently reported that PSG has officially made an offer for Álvarez. However, Atlético de Madrid has made him their top priority and is currently leading the race to sign the Argentine with Álvarez open to the idea of playing in Spain.

Still, the latest information from TyC Sports’ Gastón Edul reveals that PSG have submitted an offer to Manchester City for Álvarez. Their bid is notably higher than Atletico Madrid’s offer for both the club and the player.

Despite this, Atletico Madrid still holds a slight advantage due to their location. It seems very likely that Álvarez will leave Manchester City this summer.

Moreover, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Manchester City are now open to discussing Álvarez’s departure, but they’re looking for a substantial offer and won’t accept anything in the €40 million to €60 million range or a loan deal.

PSG and Atlético Madrid are among the clubs interested and have already had some talks with his agents and next week will be crucial.

CaughtOffside also reported that manager Luis Enrique has expressed a strong appreciation for Álvarez’s abilities and is keen to secure his signature.
