Paris Saint-Germain are ready to pursue David De Gea this summer after Gianluigi Buffon left the club.
Buffon only joined the French giants last summer but PSG announced on Wednesday that he would leave at the end of his one-year contract.
Alphonse Areola and Kevin Trapp remain at the club but PSG are “set to make a bid” for De Gea, the Times report.
The Spaniard has just one year remaining on his Manchester United contract and there seems to be no progress on agreeing a new deal.
According to the report, De Gea wants a contract to match the club’s highest earner, Alexis Sánchez, whose deal is worth £350k-a-week.
If De Gea does not agree an extension and United refuse to sell him, he would be free to leave Old Trafford for nothing in 12 months and could start talking to foreign clubs in January.
The 28-year-old had a poor season by his high standards but remains one of the most important players at Manchester United.
