After announcing his upcoming departure from PSG as a free agent – presumably to Real Madrid, France captain Kylian Mbappé (25) is set to start for Les Parisiens tonight at Nantes’ Stade de la Beaujoire for Ligue 1 gameweek 22. With second-placed Nice beaten at Lyon on Friday night, Luis Enrique’s team have the opportunity to go 14 points clear at the top.
L’Equipe report that the Spaniard is expected to shuffle his squad in the wake of PSG’s 2-0 win against Real Sociedad in the Champions League RO16 first leg. Mbappé is set to retain his place as a centre-forward, with Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola playing as wingers. Luis Enrique may also rely on South Korean attacking midfielder Kang-in Lee, who returned to Paris from the AFC Asian Cup.
France international left-back Lucas Hernandez, who came off the bench against Real Sociedad on Wednesday, is expected to start against Jocelyn Gourvennec’s Canaris, who are expected to be embroiled in the relegation battle until the end of the season. Uruguayan defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte is also set to get the nod, although Luis Enrique tends to cook up one or two surprises in his starting line-ups since his appointment as PSG head coach last summer.
Gianluigi Donnarumma; Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Danilo Pereira, Lucas Hernandez; Manuel Ugarte, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Marco Asensio (or Kang-in Lee); Ousmane Dembélé, Kylian Mbappé, Bradley Barcola
