Despite the team returning to the Parc des Princes for the first time since successfully defending their Ligue 1 title, the celebrations at Paris Saint-Germain’s final match of the season, against Clermont, will be somewhat muted.

Backup goalkeeper Sergio Rico remains hospitalised after a horse-riding accident in Andalusia caused a serious head injury, with manager Christophe Galtier indicating that himself and the rest of the team are more concerned with the Spaniard’s condition than success on the pitch.

Amid the concern for Rico, tonight’s match will also be one for goodbyes – Sergio Ramos’ departure from the club is now official, and both Lionel Messi and Galtier are ostensibly on their way out as well.

Although the title is already wrapped up, Kylian Mbappé will be looking to claim the league’s top scorer award – which he has held without interruption since the 2018/19 season – with Lyon captain Alexandre Lacazette just one goal behind the PSG man’s tally of 28 for the campaign. Clermont, though, will be no walkovers – Pascal Gastien’s men have finished the season in sensational form, winning 8 in 10 matches to secure a first-ever top-half finish. Having already beaten Nice and Lyon in that run, the visitors will be looking to claim one final major scalp this season.

PSG likely XI v Clermont:

Gianluigi Donnarumma – Sergio Ramos, Marquinhos, Danilo Pereira – Achraf Hakimi, Vitinha, Marco Verratti, Renato Sanches, Bernat – Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé.
