Paris Saint-Germain are planning to make a move for Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva (28) this summer, according to Le Parisien. The planned move for the Portuguese international is thought to be in a bid to replace Lionel Messi, who will depart PSG at the end of his contract to join Inter Miami in the MLS.

As Luís Campos looks to reinforce Paris’ attack following Messi’s departure, he has highlighted his compatriot as a key target for Les Parisiens. However, any deal to sign Silva is likely to be a complicated transfer to conclude, as City are unlikely to want to part ways with the former Monaco attacking midfielder. The Parisians’ plan is to line-up Silva to compliment former Monaco teammate Kylian Mbappé, as well as Victor Osimhen up front.

The 28-year-old’s current contract at the Etihad Stadium runs until 2025. PSG have already reinforced their attacking midfield options this summer by securing the arrival of Marco Asensio on a free transfer from Real Madrid. In the meantime, it remains to be seen if Luis Campos will be able to pull off an audacious deal to bring Silva to the Parc des Princes.
